Good Hotels in the Channel Islands

The Channel Islands – a Haven of Peace. Close to Normandy, these Iles Anglo-Normandes, as the French call them, have a distinctly gallic flavour. Though they lie closer to the French mainland than to England, their character is unique, a mix of international jet-set and family beach resort. The climate is mild all year, averaging 68 degrees Fahrenheit during the peak visitor season of June-September. The hotels vary greatly. Two of our entries are long-time favourites on car-free Sark. A third is on the tiny island of Herm. At the other end of the scale are the sumptuous Longueville Manor in St Saviour and the family-owned, family-friendly Atlantic Hotel in St Brelade. Check out our hotels in Jersey and our hotels in Guernsey.
