Luxury contemporary B&Bs or rustic hospitality

Whether it’s a short weekend mini break or a long week exploring the countryside, Scotland’s reputation for excellent hospitality is a wonderful thing to experience and enjoy no matter how long you’re visiting for and whatever kind of break you’re after.

For those looking for something simple but special, the area’s B&Bs could not be more ideal.  17th century farmhouses like Creagan House, surrounded by the most delightful views and offering spectacular value for money, or dramatic Regency houses like Boath House in elegant landscaped grounds –  there’s something for everyone and a phenomenal amount of choice available.

For solo travellers, couples or families, Scotland has a wealth of things to offer by way of food, drink, activities.  Of course, Scotland has a rich culture of excellent distilleries so little gems such as Craigatin House and Courtyard are a wonderful celebration of the area’s heritage.  A few minutes from some of Scotland’s best distilleries, the award-winning B&B combines history and contemporary style with beautiful modern interiors and an eye for detail.

The landscape in Scotland is rich, diverse and always awe-inspiring and nowhere is that more apparent than the Isle of Skye.  Staying at Tigh an Dochais, you get a real feel for the area’s shining natural beauty as you look our for seabirds and local wildlife through readily supplied binoculars.  Equally, at Ardtorna you get a feel for a supremely contemporary style of B&B with Scandinavian style overlooking Loch Creran and uninterrupted sea views while hand made chocolates and other little extras add the finishing touches.
