Good Hotel Guide Review

Glamorous ocean vistas are on show through the floor-to-ceiling windows of this hotel, which sits on a headland above St Ouen’s Bay. Designed to recall 1930s marine architecture, it has holiday fun and leisure baked into its DNA. Balconied bedrooms in shades of sea, surf and sand have blond wood furniture. Interconnecting rooms suit families while garden studios have a terrace with access to the landscaped grounds and pool. A reader’s executive suite was ‘lovely and quiet overnight, and while the ground-floor views may not match those from the first floor, everything was far superior in quality and comfort’. In the Ocean restaurant, you can choose the tasting menu, the daily three-course market menu, or dine à la carte on dishes such as butter-roasted brill fillet with freshly hand-rolled tagliatelle and Jersey crab butter sauce, or liquorice-braised lamb shoulder. Cheaper and lighter, the house menu can be ordered anywhere in the hotel or alfresco. Best of all, perhaps, is the gourmet picnic you can order before going off for a day’s surfing. Wildlife spotters will thrill to explore La Mielle de Morville nature reserve.

Comments about The Atlantic Hotel

Wonderful, relaxing stay with some great staff and lovely views with tasty food. Our suite was lovely and quiet - Kevin Seymour - July 2019
Four of us stayed. We all thought this is what a good hotel should be - just about perfect for a restful break. It is wonderfully maintained and spotless. Bedrooms are smallish but beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Lounge and library so cosy. Ocean restaurant is quite wonderful - great menus and lovely service. The hotel's greatest asset is the staff - there when needed and cheerful, but also discreet when you don't need uss. - Peter and Anne Davies - August 2017
