Find your perfect North East wedding venue

From Durham to Northumberland, Hadrian’s Wall to Tyneside, the North East of England has a character and variety of hotels amongst the best wedding venues in the UK, and with it comes ample opportunity for a unique wedding at some of the most charming hotels in the area, particularly our favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire.

Clearly the North East found favour with some of history’s most illustrious families because it is home to a number of spectacular country house hotels including Middlethorpe Hall near York, which is beautifully furnished and retains a charm born of its architecture alongside spectacular hospitality.

Alternatively, hotels such as Seaham Hall have taken their historic architecture and filled them with the best of modern facilities – intriguing artwork, a contemporary spa and rooms and suites that embrace their past but have everything the modern traveller could want.  It is without a doubt that love’s historic rogue, Lord Byron, who himself got married there, would be proud to wander its halls once again.

It’s not all big country houses however, in picturesque villages with magnificent views, smaller scale weddings find jewels such as The Star Inn at Harome bring together a wonderful rustic style with the best of modern food and service and are a credit to the hotel industry.

The cities in the North East including Newcastle, York and Sheffield, also have abundant charm and style, fusing contemporary design with easy access for all those wedding guests, ample accommodation and all the services to make planning a wedding or wedding reception at the hotel supremely easy for all involved.
