How to find your perfect wedding venue in Sussex

Battlegrounds and glorious gardens, picture perfect villages and a talent for producing mouth watering food, Sussex is a beautiful part of the UK with a phenomenal amount to offer any wedding party.

Historic houses and castles pepper the landscape, while beaches and stretches of rolling green fields are amongst the multifaceted views that green you as you drive to your destination.  Warm and welcoming hospitality is compounded by excellent service and, and some of the country’s most charming spa hotels and eco hotels reside in this broad reaching part of the country.

East to get to from London, Sussex ranges from hotels in Brighton and East Grinstead to Hastings and as close to the city as Gatwick, so there really is a breadth of style and opportunity when you’re searching for the right wedding hotel.

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne for example has a historic, almost art deco vibe to its luxurious seaside style, while the likes of Gravetye Manor is a spectacular country house hotel with the most magnificent gardens to wander around in.  It is brimming with period charm, and has a Michelin star restaurant, which brings us onto another of our favourite hospitality topics, the food.

Food in Sussex benefits from its easily reachable location, traditionally benefitting from the breadth of produce from across the UK.  Excellent lamb, seafood, artisan cheeses, and wines from increasingly popular English vineyards are all favourite features on any menu, invariably produced with a find dining flourish and the most excellent service.
