Good Hotel Guide Review
This stylish, contemporary design hotel is located in Lisbon’s Alfama district, or old town. Some rooms overlook the River Tagus, some have wooden decks, others have street or interior patio views, and the mansard or attic rooms have no direct views but good lighting. All are decorated in crisp white linens, giving them a fresh, calm feel, and bathrooms are ultra-modern, with polished concrete floors and rain showers. Staff are eager to recommend local restaurants, attractions and transport options to ensure guests make the most of their stay. Breakfast is taken at a communal wooden table, with fresh fruit, pastries etc and eggs and crepes cooked to order. There’s a small library stocked with books on Lisbon’s history, and the roof terrace has a wine bar serving drinks and snacks (tapas, salads, sandwiches etc) and an unheated swimming pool – coloured red to match the rooftops of the houses in the neighbourhood below.
