Sporting a fresh new look in bedrooms and dining areas, the only pub on this family-owned, car-free island still retains its innate charm. At the heart of the community, close to the harbour, locals and visitors enjoy the all-day dining in the bar with its marine paraphernalia, more intimate Pavilion or on the terrace. Menus feature robust dishes such as island-caught lobster and ale-battered fish and chips. In the summer, there’s an outdoor grill. Contemporary rustic bedrooms have tongue-and-groove panelling, bespoke wooden furniture and country colours. All have walk-in showers, robes and home-made biscuits; two have baths and private terraces. Guests have free entry to Tresco Abbey Garden.
