Good Hotel Guide Review
Filled with objets, antiques and curios, this highly individual, boutique bolt-hole has been created by owner Melanie Harrison in her splendid Victorian mansion close to Queen’s University, the Botanic Gardens and Lyric Theatre. From small doubles with a shower room to spacious suites with an in-room roll-top bath, each is themed around a Belfast notable and is an artful collation of past and present. Both Van Morrison and Beckett have a balcony. Hans Sloane has an emperor-size bed; Ruby Murray a record player. The CS Lewis suite with mahogany sleigh bed and adjoining single room has a magical wardrobe – but no lion or witch. A continental breakfast is delivered by room service on a mahogany tray.
