Good Hotel Guide Review
The third-generation owners of this turreted Edwardian mansion in countryside outside St Andrew's take evident pride in their legacy. A wide choice of accommodation includes two turret rooms, one with balcony; dogs and children are welcome. Guests are urged to explore the kitchen gardens, which supply produce for chef Scott Cameron's inventive dishes in the contemporary restaurant – for example, roasted guinea fowl, cannelloni of leg, leek, garlic, onion. At breakfast there are eggs from the hens and honey from the hives. Self-catering shepherds’ huts are new, and 2024 will see the opening of a farm shop to celebrate the centenary of the wonderful gardens.
