Good Hotel Guide Review
One of the world’s most beautiful drives, along the North Coast 500, brings you to a fishing village and this ‘beautiful small hotel, recently renovated’, now part of Highland Coast Hotels (see also Kylesku). The Edwardian former private house, with fine original features, is a few steps from the seaside links of a James Braid golf course. The bedrooms have a subtle marine palette, tartan throws, green-tiled bathrooms, rainfall showers, Arran Sense of Scotland toiletries. Cullen skink, Highland lamb, seared Orkney scallops and loch trout feature on the restaurant menu along with a miso bowl and sharing boards. ‘Staff were cheerful and helpful, the food outstanding without being pretentious.’ (Derek and Gail McFadden)
