Good Hotel Guide Review
Eco-chic combines with modern comforts at this series of rooms in barns and shepherds’ huts with a central Great Barn restaurant, deep in Suffolk fruit-farming country. Each is different. Some have a kitchen, an in-room roll-top bath or an outdoor tub. The oldest, the two-bedroom Cow House, has a kitchen, dining area, stand-alone bath and a double shower with underfloor heated pebbles. There is a spa and gym, while the organic kitchen garden supplies ingredients for dishes such as Cubanelle peppers, white beans, cavolo nero, patty pan squash; onglet of beef, bitter leaves, beef-fat carrots, Café de Paris butter. Afternoon tea and cocktails can also be enjoyed. It is a popular wedding venue.
