Good Hotel Guide Review
In a Tudor manor house in the Cotswolds just across from Cheltenham Racecourse, this hotel with spa and 90 acres of grounds is both family and dog-friendly. There is a wide choice of bedrooms spread across the estate, some with four-poster and roll-top bath, all with minibar and espresso machine. Dog-friendly contemporary garden rooms have a private patio. You can dine in the panelled dining-room, or the brasserie, on pricey classic fare, perhaps a Barnsley chop from the grill, cep risotto, turbot with mussels in a champagne sauce. And where better for a Bloody Mary than in the galleried Great Hall with its diamond-paned casements, heraldic glass, roaring fire, and portraits of Tudor royalty?
