Good Hotel Guide Review
Set in the quiet Cannaregio district, this 16th-century Baroque palace, formerly an aristocratic family home, boasts gorgeous, individually-decorated rooms and suites with frescoed ceilings, 18th-century antique furniture, handmade silk wallpaper and Murano chandeliers. Splash out for a suite if you can – they have juliet balconies overlooking the canal and are very spacious. Some of the standard rooms have been reported to be dim and with low ceilings but the gorgeous decor and attentive service of the staff more than compensates for this. The hotel also has an elegant salon, a private water jetty and a lush walled garden (where the continental breakfast can be taken in summer). No restaurant, but plenty of good options nearby.
