Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel is set in a 16th-century mill straddling large stream in a quiet, picturesque valley between Rouen and Caen. There’s a handsome dining room and a terrace for summer dining, and excellent Norman cooking by owner/chef François Déduit (14 Gault Millau points); his wife, Edwige, “welcoming and helpful”, is front-of-house. A visitor enthused, “Lovely garden; friendly Labradors.” There are 8 bedrooms, described as “cosy if dated”; some small with tiny shower room. Some have balconies, some with viewss of the garden or river; some hear “soothing gurgle of millstream”.
