‘Excellently located’, this ‘beautifully kept’ B&B hotel has been run for many years by its owners, the Bechi family. ‘A lovely mixture of antique furnishings and mod cons’ (there are tapestries, frescoes and Murano glass lamps), it occupies four floors of the historic Palazzo Miniberti Strozzi in this famous street. The bedrooms (some have a balcony) have fine views of rooftops and monuments, but some are noisy. ‘There are attractive lounges and sitting areas, and a wonderful roof terrace where meals are taken in fine weather,’ says a recent visitor. The restaurant serves traditional and international dishes. The continental buffet breakfast includes meats, hard-boiled eggs and fruit. ‘The staff are very friendly.’ Children are welcomed. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas only.
