Good Hotel Guide Review
In a village midway between the town and the Mont Blanc Tunnel entrance, this cheerful chalet-style hotel (Logis de France) is owned and run by Bernard and Martine Farini. In a large park (with big swimming pool and tennis), it faces Mont Blanc and the Bossons glacier, the largest icefall in Europe. ‘Excellent value, beautifully kept, with good service, friendly staff,’ say recent guests. An earlier comment: ‘Very good food: the five-course table d’hôte menu for the pensionnaires included a generous dessert table. Copious buffet breakfast.’ The public rooms are ‘very well furnished’; bedrooms are ‘plain, but comfortable’. A free shuttle takes guests to the ski slopes, ‘minutes away’. There is a terrace with wooden decking, and a giant parasol which shades 60 people. ‘Noise from the road could be a problem, but great views compensate. Rear rooms might be quieter, but lack the dramatic outlook.’
