Good Hotel Guide Review
‘For warmth of reception combined with lovely rooms, it cannot be beat,’ writes a travel expert about Roberto and Nanda Polito’s luxurious and stylish little hotel (Relais & Châteaux). Within the ramparts of this famous car-free old village, this conversion of three 16th-century houses has a flowery terrace for meals in fine weather. ‘It is a jewel, very welcoming,’ one couple wrote. ‘Our room had a magnificent view over the valley. Staff are friendly. Super cuisine.’ One dining room has frescoes of fruit and flowers, the other a fountain. The decor (Souleïado fabrics) is as Provençal as the cuisine. Some bedrooms are small; many have a mural; a suite has a large fireplace. ‘Small, well-educated dogs’ are accepted.
