Good Hotel Guide Review
Visitors returning to the Morin family’s hilltop hotel found it ‘delightful as ever’. In a medieval village east of Montélimar, it is built on the ruins of a much older building (once owned by the Knights of St John). It has a beamed and vaulted lounge in front of a ruined 12th-century chapel. ‘The views from the terrace are magnificent. Our large annexe room had old furniture and a view down the valley. But we would have liked help with luggage.’ Most bedrooms and bathrooms have been renovated this year. The dining terrace is ‘superb’, and the food is always enjoyed. ‘M. Morin a constant presence at dinner. Service, and the local Côtes du Rhône, both very good.’ At night, there is ‘only the sound of birds’.
