Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Excellently located’, in the Marais, this ‘very friendly’ hotel has for three generations been owned and run by Didier Fossiez’s family (‘he and his wife, Pamela, are delightful’); upon Didier’s retirement in 2015 his son Lucas will take over. It receives many return visitors and glowing reviews. The hotel has recently been renovated, with tastefully-decorated, ‘modern and bright’ rooms and pleasingly modern, if small bathrooms. Lighting was good. Triple rooms, if available, offer the most space and bedrooms at the back get virtually no noise from outside. Some have balconies. The lift to the upper floors is ‘tiny but speedy’, but there is one wheelchair-accessible room on the ground floor. The ‘excellent’ breakfast, in a 17th-century vaulted wine cellar or in your room, has ‘lots of good croissants, coffee, orange juice and a winning smile’. There are guide book and other material in the lobby. Many small restaurants nearby.
