Good Hotel Guide Review
In an attractive village, with cobbled streets and tiled rooftops, surrounded by orange and lemon groves, this 300-year-old house has been run since 2003 as a small rural hotel. It aims for a peaceful, informal atmosphere, and pride itself on its breakfast, a generous buffet including locally produced tarts, pastries, fruit and jams. ‘Delicious gazpacho; excellent barbecued chicken; a huge roll of goat’s cheese; wonderful local pastries’ were enjoyed, washed down by Mallorcan wines. At night, the public areas are charmingly lit by candles, on walls, in shallow pools on the floor, and on the stairs. The bedrooms, each named after a mountain, are simple (no CD-player, minibar or TV) and pretty. The most appealing rooms face the spectacular views over the Tramuntana mountain range, others overlook a village street. There are old wooden or iron bedheads, capacious armoires, wooden beams, flagged floors and potted plants. In the small garden, the small swimming pool is surrounded by bougainvillaea, oleanders and loungers. There are several good restaurants in the village.
