Good Hotel Guide Review
The Vives family’s unassuming hotel offers ‘good value on a coastline that remains unspoilt by development’. Set above steeply terraced, cultivated slopes that lead down to coves on Mallorca’s rugged west coast, it is popular with families in summer, and retired British couples off-season. A visitor for over 30 years called both the village and the hotel ‘enchanting’. Another guest wrote: ‘As good as ever, spotlessly kept, very friendly,’ although some have noted that the room decor is a little dated; this is the place with old-fashioned charm rather than modern design. The ‘stunning views’ are seen from the bedroom balconies, the pool area (with parasols), the spacious dining room and the terrace where breakfasts (fresh orange juice and ‘delicious breads’) and drinks are taken. Some find the simple set dinners ‘dull’, but there are good eating places in the village, eg, Son Thomás. The rooms, in local style, are simple; some are small. ‘Our family room in the annexe was spacious and quiet.’ There is a sheltered tennis court and an unchlorinated swimming pool.
