Good Hotel Guide Review
A former 19th century palace has been transformed into a ‘great boutique hotel in Madrid’s hip district of Chueca, ideally located close to many main tourist sites’, according to one visitor. The Prado Museum is a 15 minute walk away. Standard rooms (called deluxe) are small but well-appointed; suites are bigger, and all are decorated in a blue and white palette. The ‘excellent’ staff are all exceptionally customer-oriented, and room bookings are 24 hours – meaning early check-ins and late check-outs are allowed. The ‘Gastrolounge Cocktails & Music’ bar is ‘lively’ and popular with non-guests, breakfast is available at any time of the day and the bar serves snacks, tapas and meals, and a lavish Sunday brunch.
