Good Hotel Guide Review
Owned by Marie-Christine Menec Lacube, this former coach house is now an auberge (Logis Hotels), with a low brick building and rear bedroom extension, and located by a river, in a village on the edge of the marshlands and forests of the Sologne. Rooms have original beams, flagstone floors and are decorated in antiques. The ‘handsome restaurant’ (which is open to non-guests) is somewhat dark and old-fashioned, but the food is good quality, with set menus focusing on local, regional produce. There’s a long winelist featuring local wines too. Breakfast and drinks are taken in the shaded patio garden. Guests are primarily French (the hotels’ website does not have an English translation).
