Good Hotel Guide Review
‘A real bargain for Rome’, ‘superbly located’, this old-established B&B hotel is just off Via Veneto, not far from the Borghese Gardens. Yellow-walled, with green shutters and orange awnings, it belongs to the Giannetti group. ‘Reception is run by courteous men.’ ‘Their recommendations for restaurants were perfect,’ one reader said. Public rooms are ‘inviting’ (19th/20th-century decor). There is a weekly drinks party for residents on weekends, and video films in English and Italian are available. Everyone admires the lavish breakfast buffet (cheeses, tomatoes, fruit tarts, prosciutto, ‘delicious bread’, eggs, bacon and sausages). The large front bedrooms are ‘comfortable, with a big bath and decent air conditioning’, but they hear street noise and the nightclub opposite; quieter ones at the rear are smaller and darker, but some have a balcony. Some bathrooms are a little outdated.
