Good Hotel Guide Review
On the north side of the Borghese Gardens, this luxury hotel is decorated in Art Deco style, with jewel tones, period details and floor-length curtains. It might be a bit out of the way for some travellers (a ten-minute taxi ride to the Spanish Steps), but, write devotees: ‘We love its peaceful location, its size, and the fact that it is enticingly stylish compared to the traditional big hotels in central Rome. Reception staff are unfailingly helpful; housekeeping staff perhaps the best we’ve encountered.’ The restaurant, Sapori del Lord Byron, serves regional Italian specialities and vegetarian dishes. There is also a lounge and wine bar, Il Salotto. Portraits of women abound. The bedrooms are ‘plushly furnished’. Some rooms on the ground floor open up onto a private terrace, others have balconies.
