Good Hotel Guide Review
Just west of the western gate of the “amazingly picturesque”, tiny home town of Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley, is this former 18th-century relais de poste, now Gilles de Crick”s restaurant-with-rooms. A visitor reported, “His imaginative dishes are worth the visit; the “Yeux fermés” [surprise] menu was the best I had in France. I also had a very nice room with a balcony.” The rooms are themed after Impressionist painters, and some have terraces; there’s also an apartment sleeping five people. The restaurant is hung with paintings and has a huge picture window facing the garden.
