Good Hotel Guide Review
Beneath the 13th/16th-century château of this village near Brantôme, this 17th-century maison bourgeoise stands by the River Dronne. Owned by Frédérique and Jacques Dauba, it has old beams and stones, wooden ceilings and antique furniture. ‘The hotel is elegant, the management and service could not be bettered,’ says a visitor. ‘Our room was in the attic but was spacious, comfortable and well equipped.’ Unfortunately, the restaurant will not be open in 2015.
