Good Hotel Guide Review
Between Cannes and Grasse, on the edge of a village in mimosa country, this informal and ‘convivial’ holiday hotel, long popular with readers, is owned and run by Chantal Cattet and her son. Guide readers have called it ‘a haven of quiet from the busy coast’. Rooms overlook the garden or pool. The one-bedroom studios have a kitchen. In summer, you can breakfast (with home-made jams) in the large garden full of apricot and plum trees and lavender bushes. There is a good hard tennis court. The smallish swimming pool and its area are immaculate: plenty of loungers. But in high season, bedrooms near the pool could hear noise from children. No restaurant: try L’Écluse outside the village, ‘with an attractive riverside dining terrace’, or the ‘more expensive, but fascinating’ Auberge de la Vignette Haute in nearby Auribeau.
