Beautifully set among trees at the foot of the craggy Roca del Corb, the Pallarès family’s smart, modern hotel is not far from the main Andorra to Lleida road. It is ‘very well run, very Spanish’, say visitors. Most rooms share the ‘superb views’ of the valley of the Segre; some of the ‘comfort’ rooms in the main building have a small balcony. The largest rooms (‘grand comfort’) are in the annexe. In summer, meals are served under a pergola on a big terrace: ‘Huge amounts of good food; meat and game better than fish.’ The buffet breakfast is liked. The large swimming pool is surrounded by black loungers, and children are welcomed. Plenty of outdoor activities (see below).
