Good Hotel Guide Review
Found “very good value” by visitors, this 17th-century half-timbered former bailiff”s house of “old-world charm” (Logis de France) stands on a quiet street in a village near Chablis. Jacky Vuillemin is a helpful proprietor (“he lent us a pamphlet on local walks”), and the auberge is “lovely and quiet” (no music). In the Renaissance-style dining room, traditional Burgundian dishes are served, eg, rognons de veau flambés au marc. “First-class food, good choice in each menu, all reasonably priced.” “We had a lovely spacious beamed bedroom.” Some rooms at the back, more modern, face a courtyard where you can take drinks. Breakfast is “standard French: home-made jams, honey, good coffee”. Half board and full board rates available.
