Good Hotel Guide Review
This old hostelry (Logis de France), in a ramparted medieval hamlet on a hilltop west of Dijon, is “a most attractive location; fine views over countryside”. Though modernised, it is picturesque, with its beamed ceilings, rough stonework, and small, pretty garden which faces the château. “The food and service were excellent, and we loved eating outside on the flowery patio,” say guests. The candlelit dinners and the trays of drinks in the reception/hall/bar (with flagstone floors, tapestry rugs, a fine old fireplace) are liked. But several visitors agreed that breakfast “in a rather gloomy cellar, and with coffee in a thermos flask” was disappointing. Bedrooms (some are small) are on several floors (no lift). Some have beams, old stones and period furnishings; some overlook countryside. The most spacious rooms are in the annexe. The motorway is near, but out of earshot.
