Built as a private villa in the early 20th century and “tastefully extended” in the 1960s, this hotel on the north Brittany coast “stands dramatically above pink granite rocks that lead to the sea”s edge, which one can scramble down to”, according to a visitor. “Our bedroom, good sized, had a tiny balcony with views of the bay and one of the larger offshore islands.” In the restaurant, L”Étape des Gourmets, food (with an emphasis on seafood) “was excellent, supported by a good wine list. Service of a high standard. An appealing balance between French formal correctness and family friendliness.” The restaurant has panoramic views and two terraces.
