‘We couldn’t fault it,’ says a visitor regarding this this traditional hotel owned by the ‘charming’ Max and Ria Ritter. It has magnificent views of the Jungfrau massif. An inspector wrote of ‘very friendly staff’. The quietest bedrooms face the garden’. ‘Our room was bright, well lit, clean, and extremely well appointed without being fussy.’ Breakfast is ‘superb, plenty of choice and good rolls and lovely jams’, but one visitor found the dinners ‘quite expensive’ and less good. The lake has good bathing and sailing, and a grass beach is nearby.
