Good Hotel Guide Review
The location of this hotel is great – opposite the Rosenthaler Platz, a transport hub, and on the northern edge of the Mitte district, adjoining the hip Prenzlauer Berg area – and the value for money found here is outstanding. Rooms are individually designed and simply but cleverly furnished (standard doubles and twins have desks, economy doubles and singles don’t), and the sleek modern bathrooms have rain showers. Breakfast is served until 1pm, either in your room or in the downstairs Fabisch restaurant. The hotel deliberately does not have air-conditioning (Berlin summers seldom get very hot, and fans are available), and the buffet is of a high quality but does not offer a huge range of goods, in an effort to be less wasteful. There’s a courtyard and roof terrace, and the restaurant hosts live music sessions ands talks. The hotel is extremely child and baby friendly, with free cots, baby monitors to rent and a babysitting service, and kids under 6 eat free at the restaurant. The hotel also owns the very popular Circus Hostel nearby.
