Good Hotel Guide Review
On a ridge in the Lleus valley near the beaches of the Costa Blanca, this 18th-century farmhouse, white-walled and tile-roofed, has been turned into a delightful small rustic hotel/restaurant by a Flemish photographer, Bert de Vooght. It stands in terraced gardens, amid vineyards, olive groves and almond orchards. ‘The welcoming staff create an atmosphere that must be revisited,’ said a visitor who found the place ‘outstanding; homely, with excellent facilities’. The comfortable bedrooms have antique furniture; some are beamed. The restaurant serves French haute cuisine with Mediterranean and Belgian influences. Around the swimming pool are the herbs used by the chef, Breakfast, ‘a true delight’, has fresh orange juice, home-baked breads, cheese and ham. Meals are served on a patio on fine days.
