For families visiting the area, there’s an array of places to go. Kids love the Green Dragon Eco Farm with its rare breeds for example, as well as the water sports and activities at Willey Lake. There’s a variety of historic sites to see, from Waddesdon Manor to Langley Country Park with its variety of habitats for wildlife and activities. These can be perfect activities for a romantic retreat or a getaway with friends.

The area’s hotels reflect that diversity. For example, Hartwell House is a National Trust property complete with a decadent spa and a heritage that includes being the one time home of the exiled King Louis XVIII of France in the 19th century. Equally, The Mash Inn is an adult-only hotel with a semi-open kitchen that offers a sense of theatre over dinner.
