Good Hotel Guide Review
On the north-west coast of the Isle of Lewis, Elaine Fothergill and Richard Inger invite you to their traditional Hebridean farmhouse to switch off, unwind and relax. 'Great stay,' says a reader. 'So quiet'. A short walk from the sea, the sky is vast here; the birds, wild. 'Beautiful rooms', with views of rugged coast or moorland crofts, have a modern rustic feel, with locally made ceramics, crafts and furniture; fresh milk and cold drinks are in the fridge. Guests can relax in a TV lounge (with a fire) or in a quieter reading room overlooking the surging Atlantic. Morning brings an Aga-fresh breakfast – porridge, kippers or a full grill – to fuel walks on the beach or in the mountains.
