Good Hotel Guide Review
A “delightful” small auberge, stylish, but not posh, created by the actress Leslie Caron from four 17th-century boat houses on the Yonne, and now owned by Jerome. “The Owl”s Nest” is in an attractive little town with honey-coloured stone buildings in northern Burgundy. The conversion has kept the old character: stones, beams, flagged floors and old tiles. One suite has a river view and a portrait of Sarah Bernhardt above the bed. In the “superb” dining room, created from a 17th-century warehouse, you can eat by a fire under a vaulted ceiling. Summer meals are on a riverside terrace with parasols. “The food is excellent; service is good and friendly.” “A bargain.”
