Good Hotel Guide Review
“If wine touring takes you to Chablis, this should be your hotel of choice,” says a travel expert of chef/patron Michel Vignaud and his daughter Noemi”s converted almshouse (Logis de France) in this “adorable little town”. The restaurant is locally famous for, eg, bisque glacée de homard; cuisson confite de la poitrine de canette fermière. “The cuisine was excellent, elegant.” Other comments: “Service like a ballet, with synchronised dome-lifting.” “Huge wine list”, but “mark-ups are steep”. The bedrooms (“some are on the small side”) face the village, or the pretty courtyard garden where drinks and tea are served. “Our big, quiet room had two nice beds, plenty of hanging space but little storage.” “Room 10 is the best disabled room I have come across.” “Buffet breakfast in the garden was gorgeous.” “A very good hotel with amiable service.” Wine tastings are held.
